Companies & Organizations
Company records let you group contacts by organization and track the relationship at the account level.
Creating a company
Navigate to Companies in the sidebar and click + New Company. A company record stores the name, website, industry, and notes. You can also create a company directly from a contact record by typing a new company name in the Company field - the record is created automatically.
Linking contacts to a company
Open any contact and set the Company field. Search for an existing company or type a new name to create one on the fly. A contact can only belong to one company at a time.
The company detail view
Click any company to open its detail panel. You'll see a list of all contacts at that company, any notes on the company record, and a summary of where those contacts are in your pipeline.
For the Job Search template, a "company" is typically the employer. For the Creator CRM, it might represent a brand or agency you work with across multiple contacts.
Not seeing Companies in your sidebar?
Some templates sell to people, not organizations - home-service trades (HVAC, roofing, painting, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, solar) and personal services (photography, fitness, therapy, residential real estate). Those templates hide the Companies surface to keep the sidebar focused. You can still group your customers by company: open Contacts and use the Company filter next to the search box to narrow the list to everyone at one company.
Need full Companies records on one of these workspaces anyway (e.g. you also do commercial work)? Use a custom template, or pick a template that keeps Companies on - General Contractor, Sales, and Recruiting all do.
