Email Sequences
ProSequences are multi-step email campaigns that send automatically over time — and stop the moment a contact replies. Build a drip sequence once, enroll contacts, and let RadiusOS handle the follow-ups.
Overview
A sequence is a series of timed email steps. You define the emails, the wait periods between them, and RadiusOS sends them on schedule through your connected Gmail account. If a contact replies to any email in the sequence, the sequence automatically pauses for that contact so you can take over the conversation.
Sequences are a Pro feature. Free plan users can preview the sequence builder with sample data to see how it works.
Creating a sequence
Go to Sequences in the sidebar
Click + New Sequence to start building.
Add email steps
Each step is an email with a subject and body. You can use merge fields like {{contact.name}} to personalize each message. Select from your email templates or write from scratch.
Add wait steps between emails
Insert wait periods (e.g., 3 days) between emails. This controls the pacing of your outreach.
Configure stop-on-reply
Enable "Stop on Reply" (on by default) so the sequence pauses automatically when a contact responds.
Enroll contacts
Add contacts to the sequence from the contact detail page or in bulk from the contacts list. Each contact progresses through the sequence independently.
How reply detection works
When RadiusOS sends a sequence email through Gmail, it tracks the thread ID. During email sync, if an incoming message appears on that thread, RadiusOS recognizes it as a reply and pauses the sequence for that contact.
This means:
Sequences vs. automations
| Sequences | Automations | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Multi-step email outreach | Trigger-based workflows |
| Steps | Email + Wait only | Email, Task, Stage Change, Wait |
| Reply detection | Yes — auto-pauses | No |
| Enrollment | Manual (add contacts) | Automatic (trigger fires) |
| Best for | Cold outreach, follow-up drips | Internal workflow automation |
